A woman sits in a hospital room, alone with her dying father. As the din of hospital noises pushes her to confront her inevitable loss, she escapes into a series of lush childhood memories.

"Beautiful short film selected for the Toronto Festival that speaks of the relationship between daughter and father - with the latter, in this case, on the brink of death in a hospital. It's a shame that in recent years this seems to have become a banal topic and caused a certain fatigue. Personally, I can't remember the last Oscar edition that didn't have a short film about the death of a family member or about this relationship between parents and children. But it's okay. Still, '4 North A' is a beautiful, competent work that still moves without dialogue. After all, anyone can see themselves in the situation of the character, between life and death, memories and forgetting."
