Polisse

"Polisse is a French crime drama that mixes rawness and emotion to portray the day-to-day life of the Youth Protection Brigade in Paris. Directed by Maïwenn, who also stars in the film, the film follows a journalist who begins to document the team's work — and, when she becomes emotionally involved with one of the police officers, ends up being dragged into the whirlwind of traumas, tensions and ethical dilemmas that characterize their routine. With an intense and realistic narrative, Polisse stands out for its unfiltered approach to sensitive topics such as child abuse, abuse and neglect, in addition to exploring the psychological impact on those who live to protect others. A powerful film, with remarkable performances and a profound portrait of the fine line between justice and human exhaustion."
