Why watch the movie Bound?
"A detail that should catch your attention about Bound is that it is the first feature film by Lana and Lilly Wachowski, before they made history as directors of The Matrix. Starring Gina Gershon, Jennifer Tilly, and Joe Pantoliano, the plot follows a former convict now working on renovating an apartment. Next door, there lives a mobster and his wife, but the attraction between them is intense and inevitable. Together, they devise a plan to steal from the mafia and escape, but the big problem will be staying alive. It’s an intriguing and sensual neo-noir that subverts conventions by using eroticism as the path to redemption, rather than traditional damnation, with captivating direction and great performances by the two lead actresses."
