Why watch the movie A Normal Woman?
"A Normal Woman is an Indonesian thriller that has genre conventions as its backbone. The plot follows a socialite who seems to have it all: a handsome husband, a perfect home, no worries. However, her life is turned upside down when she contracts a mysterious, unexplained illness and is forced to uncover the reason for this sabotage of her own body while her family rejects her. It’s a film in a very similar vein to the uncomfortable Swallow, where a mania is an expression of a much deeper ailment. Ideal if you enjoy your entertainment with a deeper social and cultural commentary."
