Why watch the movie April?
"April (Aprile) is one of the most personal and entertaining works by Nanni Moretti, who directs, writes, and also stars in the story. Here, the Italian blends fiction and reality as he follows his own life as he becomes a father for the first time while attempting to film a documentary about the Italian national elections. With his sharp and self-critical humor, Moretti transforms intimate and political dilemmas into comical and reflective situations, creating a portrait that is simultaneously lighthearted and profound. A film that shows how real life can be as unpredictable and engaging as cinema."
