"It is undeniable that 'Penguin Bloom' is one of those sensitive, delicate, and emotional films. After all, it's hard not to shed a few tears when we see on the screen the relationship between an injured bird and a woman (Naomi Watts) who recently suffered a serious accident. The animal enters her life, her husband's and her children's. However, unfortunately, director Glendyn Ivin ('Crying Out') does not know how to give a single tone to this real story. Sometimes it is an emotional Afternoon Session. But sometimes it is also a drama about overcoming. In the end, the best solution is to leave the labels aside and enjoy the beauty of this so simple and inspiring story."
