Why watch the movie The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo?
"A psychological drama that won Un Certain Regard at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo marks Diego Céspedes’ feature debut and turns the fear surrounding the AIDS crisis in 1980s Chile into a fable about prejudice, desire, and chosen families. Starring Tamara Cortés, Matías Catalán, and Paula Dinamarca, the film blends mystery, social tension, and a queer perspective to build a work with a strong visual and emotional identity, without reducing its characters to trauma."
