Aside from the roads themselves, the conventions of this subgenre are all here, with two somewhat disparate characters starting to re-encounter themselves and to connect with each other while they traverse a journey through new territories which also transforms them internally, with the particularity of presenting the changing relationship between a mother and her teenage son.
