Rocky II

"After the tremendous and surprising success of 'Rocky: A Fighter', United Arts gave the green light for a sequel, released in theaters three years after the original feature. This time, Sylvester Stallone took on directing. The story deals with the aftermath of the first fight, in which boxer Apollo Creed (inspired by the legend Muhammad Ali) let himself be carried away by the party and won only by points - which leads him to propose a rematch and, this time, prepare and fight seriously. With a budget seven times higher than the first feature (but still modest for current times), the film knows how to mix very well the difficulties of the protagonist's life with the dilemmas of the athlete's career in another story of overcoming. Although it is not a brilliant production and has its problems, it knows very well how to explore and expand the events of the first part, as well as bring an exciting climax."
