Caught in the crosshairs of police corruption and Marseille's warring gangs, a loyal cop must protect his squad by taking matters into his own hands.
"We are used to seeing romantic or light comedies productions in French cinema. However, in recent years, stories with other approaches, such as crime, police plot and suspense, in the case of 'Les Miserables' by director Ladj Ly, are becoming more popular. 'Bronx' is about an anti-crime squad in France, in Marseille - a premise similar to Ladj Ly's movie - and deals with rivalry between gangs and police. The film stars Jean Reno and is directed by Olivier Marchal, who has experience with the theme as he created the series 'Braquo', which shows corruption within the French police. 'Bronx' is a well-made film, with a solid script, good performances and will certainly please those who enjoy a good investigative plot with action sequences."
