Why watch the movie Out of Africa?
"Winner of seven Oscars, with an incredible photography of Africa, unforgettable soundtrack by John Barry and even more memorable performances by Robert Redford and Meryl Streep. The story of a philanthropist who travels to the heart of Africa in 1914, with the aim of helping the Kenyan population, is quite cliché and treated with certain prejudice - fruit of a colonizing vision of the time it was filmed, in the 1980s. However, the beauty and delicacy of the romance that arises between the characters of Streep and Redford help make the movie stand out compared to other nonsense of the kind. Special mention for the firm direction of Sydney Pollack, firm in his convictions."
