"In Pixar's canon of films, 'The Good Dinosaur' was released in an unfavorable period to make it take off: the same year as the hugely successful 'Inside Out', between poorly acclaimed sequels from the animation studio and, worse yet, two years after 'The Croods', a similar and successful bet from DreamWorks rivals. Although much less propositive than the best Pixar movies, 'The Good Dinosaur' at least has in its favor having been an original proposal in a period plagued with sequels, with a beautiful story of friendship and courage that is enough to fascinate the youngest members of the family."
