Broadway stars fight for LGBT rights in conservative Indiana town.

Why watch the movie The Prom?
"It's hard to start talking about a movie that has a cast made up of Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep, Keegan-Michael Key, Kerry Washington and James Corden. In addition to having a very beautiful message, 'The Prom' is a grand cinematic conclusion of 2020, being exaggerated, silly, authentic and incredible. Once again, we are faced with more proof that Meryl Streep is the best actress who has ever stepped into this world and shows all her nuances as the character Dee Dee Allen, a Broadway legend. In addition, the movie brings an LGBT romance, something that is still not common in cinema and this is a worthy trait of director Ryan Murphy, who always seeks to bring inclusion in his productions."
