Why watch the movie The Assistant?
""The Assistant" is one of the most powerful, strong, and necessary films of 2020. Written and directed by Kitty Green (of the great "Who is JonBenet"), the feature film delves into the problematic of work relationships and, mainly, shows how the abuses of an exasperating and exhausting routine affect the life of a dedicated person who only wanted to achieve their dreams. Julia Garner's ("Ozark") performance is the cherry on top of a complete and complex movie that manages to convey strong feelings in every scene, every gesture, every anguished look of the protagonist. Without a doubt, a film that needs to be felt in order to be understood."
