""Advokatas" is an unusual movie, to say the least. Firstly, director Romas Zabarauskas draws attention by telling the story of a gay lawyer, who breaks heteronormative patterns and stereotypes usually associated with the law and justice environment. Then, at another point, the narrative gives a new dimension to this story by following the protagonist's mourning for his father's death and a consequent identity crisis. The highlight goes to Eimutis Kvosciauskas' performance, who manages to mix the unpredictability of his character's situations with unparalleled sensitivity."
