"Following the line of new looks that Warner Bros. is giving to classic cartoons from its portfolio, such as 'Scooby! The Movie', the feature film 'Tom and Jerry' has a clear goal: to modernize the story of the most famous cat and mouse in American pop culture history. And despite some stumbles, director Tim Story (of the infamous 'Fantastic Four' and 'Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer') manages to extract some good moments and value the characters. However, a warning to fans of other times and nostalgics: 'Tom and Jerry: The Movie' reveres the original cartoon, but it's keeping an eye on the little ones, the young audience, who may not even know who Tom and Jerry are."
