Black Art: In the Absence of Light

"From acclaimed director Sam Pollard, 'Black Art: In the Absence of Light' celebrates the work of leading African-American artists who are still active today. Focusing on the exhibition "Two Centuries of Black American Art: 1750-1950", the first major museum survey on the subject, the director brings together fascinating stories behind more than 200 works of art by more than 63 important artists. An important production not only for African-American culture, but also for those who do not know the art of black artists in depth. The movie undoubtedly gives light to these professionals and their relevance in history. 'Black Art: In the Absence of Light' awakens a desire in the viewer to drop everything and go to the museum."
