Based on the writer/director's childhood, FARMING tells story of a young Nigerian boy, 'farmed out' by his parents to a white British family in the hope of a better future. Instead, he becomes the feared leader of a white skinhead gang.

"'Farming' already moves since the story behind the production itself. After all, the feature film is inspired by the childhood of director and screenwriter Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje in telling the story of a young Nigerian boy who is "transferred" by his parents to a white British family in the hope of a better future. However, things quickly get out of control and the protagonist ends up joining a group of skinheads. Despite some narrative facilitations, probably to simplify Adewale's own story, 'Farming' manages to move and should leave fans of real stories - and with depth today - impacted by what they see on the screen."
