Why watch the movie A Lei e o Medo?
"The feature-length version of the documentary series 'In the Force of Law', the film 'The Law and Fear' stands alongside titles such as 'The Process' and 'Democracy in Vertigo' in a showcase of essential productions to understand today's Brazil. Thus, here, filmmaker Hermes Leal records the experiences and difficulties faced, on the eve of the 2018 election, by those who suffer prejudice and violence, whether for being female, black, LGBTQ + or of contrary opinions. A profound and necessary documentary, which shows how prejudices, pains and offenses of today are rooted in a conservative society. To reflect."
