Why watch the movie Sergio Mendes in the Key of Joy?
"Substitute 'Sergio Mendes no Tom da Alegria' with 'Sergio Mendes in the Key of Joy'. Translate to US English the following text: Sérgio Mendes is one of the biggest names in Brazilian music, responsible for "Americanizing" MPB and making genuine Brazilian rhythms gain a more international look. In 'Sergio Mendes in the Key of Joy' we are presented with Mendes' life, showing better his journey, his career and memorable professional and personal moments -- including a fun scene of the musician singing with Pelé. It's a quite banal documentary in its form, with a succession of interviews and archive images, but it has an effect when honoring Sérgio Mendes and his work."
