Why watch the movie M?
"Fritz Lang is one of the most important names in cinema. He is one of the most well-known creative minds of German Expressionism and his productions are still worthy of study today. 'M - Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder' is a classic and a milestone in the director's career. The suspense was made in the 1930s, when sound was a novelty, and manages to be a film with current debates about justice and criminals. The plot is based on the story of the German serial killer Peter Kürten, who committed several murders and sexual assaults in 1929, in the city of Düsseldorf -- so he became known as "The Vampire of Düsseldorf" or the "Monster of Düsseldorf". 'M' manages to explore the morality of the serial killer in an absurd way and still has comic moments. One of the first films on this subject and also, one of the best."
