After years abroad in Paris, Selma returns to Tunis with the dream of opening up her own psychotherapy practice.

""Psychology is a recurring and attractive theme in cinemas, usually even romanticizing the relationship between the psychologist and their patients. In 'Un divan à Tunis', a Franco-Algerian production, we follow psychology without glamor. After all, at the center of attention of this Manele Labidi production is a psychoanalyst who returns from a season of studies in France to work again in her country of origin, Tunisia. From there, in a somewhat jumbled and little cohesive way, the feature film will show the relationship of this psychoanalyst with her patients. Even though the humor does not work, 'Un divan à Tunis' works by showing the prejudice that exists with mental health. And, mainly, how it is possible to break the prejudice with information and care for others."
