Matchbox: The Movie

It is possible to make a good film about a commercial product: Barbie proved that, and there were decent dramas about BlackBerry and Tetris. But it doesn’t follow that every brand is going to be golden fodder for filmmakers, and sadly this latest foray into branded content by Skydance shows that some concepts are destined for creative bankruptcy. We open on what looks like an AI-generated aerial shot of an idyllic small town, a scene straight out of the ’50s but theoretically 1997. We meet a young Sean, who has a group of friends and a searing crush on Aimee. He wants to express this crush by giving the motor-obsessed

Photo Credit: Apple TV Remember when an entire afternoon could disappear into playing with Matchbox cars? Well, somebody finally threw a whole lot of money at bringing that childhood imagination to the screen. And we’re glad they did. Jessica Biel (44) Brings Effortless Elegance to ‘Matchbox’ Press as She Marks Her Big-Screen Comeback

It has been a while since Jessica Biel led a feature film, and even she didn’t realize how long. The actress has spent recent years focusing on television, with credits including ‘Candy’ in 2022 and ‘The Better Sister’ in 2025. That changes with ‘Matchbox The Movie’, Apple TV’s action-adventure inspired by Mattel’s iconic toy cars. Directed by Sam Hargrave and written by David Coggeshall, the film marks Biel’s return to movies after more than 9 years away. As the film hit streaming, Biel stepped out for ‘Matchbox’ press, looking polished and understated. New images show the 44-year-old in a black halter-neck top with a softly draped silhouette, paired with

Jessica Biel (44) Stuns in a Sleek All-Black Look During the ‘Matchbox’ Press Run as the Film Lands on Apple TV

Jessica Biel has kept a relatively low profile in recent years, so any new public appearance tends to turn heads. By one account, ‘Matchbox The Movie’ is the first project she has promoted in 2026, and likely the only one this year. Her last screen role was in the series ‘The Better Sister’ in 2025. That makes the film’s press run a bigger moment than usual for the actress. ‘Matchbox The Movie‘ reached Apple TV on Friday, October 9, after a globe-trotting promotional tour with the full cast. The ensemble includes John Cena, Sam Richardson, Teyonah Parris and Arturo Castro. A fresh pair of images from the promotion shows Biel in a sleek,

The run began in New York on October 5, when Biel attended the film’s premiere at AMC Lincoln Square in a Dolce & Gabbana blazer paired with a sheer black floor-length skirt and pointed satin pumps. She later switched into a gray Michael Kors suit, followed by an ivory Self-Portrait silk set for a TV appearance. Two days later, the 44-year-old arrived in London for the film’s VIP screening at The Cinema in the Power Station,
