"Sequel to 2010's 'Kick-Ass', based on the comic book series created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. While the first installment shone for bringing one of the most acclaimed and controversial parodies of superheroes to the screen –at a time when movies about them weren't as common–, maintaining a delicate balance between humor and extreme violence; 'Kick-Ass 2' fails in this act of equilibrium. The acting work is solid, but the script isn't quite humorous enough, turning into a marathon of violence in which, however, Chloë Grace Moretz as Hit-Girl is the indisputable gem."
