Two men crucified with Jesus face tragedy and injustice at the hands of thieves and a Roman centurion.
Trailer
Why watch the movie The Penitent Thief?
"The Crucifixion of Jesus became a symbol, mainly because of its brutality in the form of continued torture -- the nails in the hands, the thorns on the head, the sunburn. However, Jesus was not the only one. After all, crucifixion was a common punishment at the time and in Christ's region. The feature film 'The Penitent Thief' tells the story of two anonymous men who suffered this penalty alongside Jesus. Throughout 93 minutes, filmmaker Lucas Miles shows the life before and after these two figures. But don't be fooled: it is not a historical drama, but rather a movie with a strong religious bias."
