""Wish Dragon" is a charming and spirited animated adventure. Its style is stylized and adorable and the story is very reminiscent of the classic 'Aladdin', but reimagining the story in a current context and creating a beautiful narrative of friendship. The US-China co-production brings together mixed characteristics of the West and East, developing an interesting language of its own. The animation is yet another triumph of Sony Pictures Animation, a studio that has been very successful with its creative films that have been breaking away from the normal standards, such as 'The Lego Movie', 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' or the more recent 'The Mitchells vs. The Machines'."
