In 2024 a pandemic ravages the world and its cities. Centering on a handful of people as they navigate the obstacles currently hindering society: disease, martial law, quarantine, and vigilantes.
"In a list of so-called “pandemic films”, which are those made during or about the Covid-19 pandemic, 'Songbird' is one of the most questionable in terms of quality -- and we still have 'Locked Down'. After all, this film produced by Michael Bay and directed by Adam Mason ('The Devil's Chair') mixes romance and drama to tell a passionate couple in a world devastated by coronavirus variants. With names like Alexandra Daddario, Demi Moore, KJ Apa and Sofia Carson in the cast, there is a serious tone problem in the story, which can't decide between the gravity of the narrative and the sugar-water romance. But even so, it can be an interesting movie for those who want to dive deeper into the stories (good or bad) that have emerged during the pandemic."
