A man with bipolar disorder finds an unexpected friendship with an elderly woman with Alzheimer's.
Why watch the movie La Vacanza?
"Substitute 'Uma Amizade Inesperada' with 'La Vacanza'. "La Vacanza" is an Italian drama film that tells the story of Valerio, a 30-year-old man who has bipolar disorder. His life changes completely when he meets Carla, an elderly woman who is showing the first signs of Alzheimer's. They meet at a time when both have to deal with ghosts from the past and fear of the future, thus creating a mutual and complicated relationship due to the contexts and the world around them. The film is focused entirely on its two protagonists, played by Antonio Folletto and Catherine Spaak, both with incredible performances and carrying the full weight of the film, especially due to the context of the two characters. A great drama for lovers of friendship and overcoming stories, as well as knowing how to delicately and lightly address some serious topics."
