"Directed by the duo Joey Loomis and Micah Lyons, with the latter also scripting and starring in the production, 'The Runners' is a movie that follows, precisely, what the Portuguese title suggests: a story against the clock, where every second counts. In the plot, after all, we follow Ryan (Lyons), a young man who needs to follow the trail of his younger sister, kidnapped at a party after returning home to the rural east of Texas. Despite being quite amateur in its realization and with an unnecessary abuse of clichés, 'The Runners' still has positive points on its side when we forget a little about the story and focus on the rhythm given by Loomis and Lyons. A pure and simple action movie, without frills, that should entertain fans of this genre."
