"The SparkShorts are Pixar's shorts that don't have the familiar look fans of the studio are used to. Here, the company makes room for independent filmmakers with stories that wouldn't be told in traditional shorts - such as 'Kitbull' and 'Purl', for example. In 'Twenty Something', Pixar takes on a topic ideal for an animated short film: the pains of the beginning of adulthood, those twenty-somethings, when we're no longer teenagers but not quite ready to face adult life. Directed by Aphton Corbin, who was part of the animation team for 'Soul', the film helps us understand these pains of the beginning of adulthood, when ghosts of the past join forces with fears of the future. It speaks about "coming of age" with creativity, strength and originality."
