Based on a true story, this decades spanning romance between an aspiring chef and a teacher follows their treacherous journey from Mexico to New York with dreams, hopes, and memories in tow.

""I Carry You With Me" is a delicate drama directed by Heidi Ewing ("Jesus Camp"). It's one of those movies that make us feel emotion from start to finish. And it's no wonder. The story revolves around Iván (Armando Espitia), an aspiring chef in Mexico who works in a restaurant to try to finally get a place in the kitchen while going through hardships with his wife and son. However, one night, everything in Iván's life changes when he meets Gerardo (Christian Vazquez), a teacher who, unlike Iván, is gay. Their chemistry is instant and from then on, the aspiring chef's life changes drastically. A touching and sensitive movie, with a special mention for Espitia's performance."
