In the City of Brotherly Love, eight-year-old Peter Flood helplessly watches on as his little sister is killed by his neighbor’s reckless driving. "Joel Kinnaman ('The Old Guard') and Matthias Schoenaerts ('Suicide Squad') star in this story that uses the Philadelphia mafia as a backdrop to talk about family and friendship. The movie has a dark atmosphere that fits the heavy narrative, which is basically about revenge. The cast is one of the best parts of the production, Kinnaman playing a psychopath and Schoenaerts an introspective, disturbed and very violent man. Another highlight is James Nelson-Joyce (from the series 'The Outlaws'). The story is based on a book and the film adaptation worked very well. For those who like a noir movie with a more modern feel, 'Brothers by Blood' is a good indication."
