"Directed by Vivek Soni, who takes the helm of his second feature film, 'Meenakshi Sundareshwar' is an Indian romantic comedy that discusses insecurities, quarrels, failures and differences of the couple on screen. In the plot, Abhimanyu and Sanya have just gotten married and must separate - only physically - due to an opportunity for Abhimanyu's work. Now, they are forced to live a new reality: a long-distance marriage. The movie is funny and shows this new Indian cinema - if we can call it that - which drinks less from the source of Bollywood clichés, which usually has many songs, exaggerations and scripts completely disconnected from reality. 'Meenakshi Sundareshwar', although it is comical, has situations that approach everyday life, being more relatable."
