"Japanese drama directed by Yoshihiro Mori and Hayato Kawai, and with a screenplay by Ryô Takada (‘You're Not Normal Either!’). 'We Couldn't Become Adults' is based on the book 'Bokutachi wa Minna Otona ni Narenakatta' by Moegara, and the story follows a man who has just let his youth pass him by and is sucked into the problems of adult life. Years later, he ends up reconnecting with someone from his past and begins to remember everything he has lived through. 'We Couldn't Become Adults' is an interesting film that deals with our frustrations as life goes by and that, often times, we end up doing everything on autopilot and stop living for real. Are we living or just existing? A production recommended to be seen by both young and old."
