Max Mercer, a mischievous and resourceful young boy, has been left behind while his family is in Japan for the holidays. Otherwise, it's the same: a remake that follows the original step by step, keeping a very similar story, just with changes here and there. Older generations, people who witnessed the premiere or grew up watching 'Home Alone', may be disappointed as they weave more comparisons. However, 'Home Sweet Home Alone' can be a good way for the little ones, who do not know the wonders of the 1990s, to get into this story."
