Why watch the movie Mayor Pete?
""Mayor Pete" is an Amazon Prime Video documentary that chronicles the behind-the-scenes journey of Pete Buttigieg's campaign to run for President of the United States in 2020. Pete made headlines in the election when he won the Democratic primaries in Iowa and for his somewhat atypical profile compared to other politicians: religious, gay, and former military. The documentary recounts all the difficulties and prejudices that Pete had to overcome to run for office, which in its history has only been occupied by straight men. Even though he didn't win the Democratic primaries, Pete made history and opened doors that were previously unthinkable for the LGBTQI+ community - a great story that deserves to be seen."
