Why watch the movie Silent Night?
"Mixing 'Seeking a Friend for the End of the World', 'The Mist' and 'Melancholia', the interesting and dense 'Silent Night' tells a story that chills from its first minute: friends and family decide to celebrate one last Christmas on the night the world is ending. A dense fog is coming to the UK and, as a last desperate solution, people decide to cut off the evil at the root with a quick and painless death. From there, we plunge into the apocalyptic routine of a family facing these final minutes. Captaining the cast, names like Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Roman Griffin Davis, Annabelle Wallis and Lily-Rose Depp deliver dense performances in a feature film that can't decide exactly between outrageous comedy and energetic drama. In the end, however, there is that provocation in the air: you, the viewer, what would you do in a situation like this? Take the pill?"

Silent Night follows a group of old friends who – in true British fashion and while the rest of the world faces impending doom – reunite to celebrate Christmas in the comfort of an idyllic country home. Burdened with the inconvenience of mankind’s imminent destruction, they adopt a stiff upper lip, crack open another bottle of prosecco and continue with their festivities. But no amount of stoicism can replace the courage needed for their last night on Earth.
