Sebastian is an ordinary man in his thirties who is utterly devoted to his loyal dog and works in a slew of banal temporary jobs. As he moves fitfully through adulthood, he navigates love, loss, and fatherhood—until the world is rocked by a sudden catastrophe, upending his already turbulent life.

"Directed by Argentinian filmmaker Ana Katz ('Sueño Florianópolis', 'Una novia errante'), 'The Dog Who Wouldn't Be Quiet' is a modest drama that, in its contrasting black and white images, mixes elements of traditional comedy, tragedy, and science fiction. The story follows Sebastián, who has reached 30 years old and the only stable thing in his life is his relationship with his dog, wandering between temporary jobs, sentimental relationships, fatherhood, and even a pandemic. It is a film with a certain melancholic air, which manages to find a very subtle humor in the absurd and even outrageous circumstances of its protagonist (it reminds a bit of Ken Loach's cinema). The story itself does not follow a clear structure, but wanders from one mundane moment to another as it happens in life, illustrating the enormous human capacity for adaptation in the face of large and small adversities. It couldn't be more down-to-earth, but for that very reason it is touching and even inspiring."
