Why watch the movie Simple Passion?
"Selected for the Cannes Film Festival, Simple Passion explores exactly what the title suggests - passion. Is it possible to sustain a relationship based solely on that? In the story, Laetitia Dosch (Jeune Femme) - an intellectual and feminist Parisian university professor - finds herself living an intense affair with a mysterious married man of whom she knows almost nothing. Blinded by lust, she becomes obsessed to the point of losing her own identity. Full of steamy scenes, the story directed by Danielle Arbid ('Destemida') touches on interesting themes such as loneliness, motherhood, and the power of desire."
