The music is the secret of Mathieu Malinski, a subject about which he dare not speak in his neighborhood, where it lags behind with his friends. While a small burglary that he committed with the latter leads to prison, Pierre Geithner, Director of the National Conservatory of Music in fate in exchange for hours of general interest. But Pierre has another idea in mind.
"A drama about a young man who, from living by stealing, goes on to become a piano student at the Music Conservatory thanks to his director, who sees him play masterfully in a subway station. The Prodigy is conventional in its narrative, which at times is very predictable and borders on melodrama. However, it has good moments thanks to the performances of the veterans in its cast, notably Lambert Wilson and Kristin Scott Thomas."
