When a network of Brazilian farmers seizes a protected area of the Amazon rainforest, a young Indigenous leader and his mentor must fight back in defense of the land and an uncontacted group living deep within the forest.
"Premiering in the direction of Alex Pritiz, who does an excellent job showing the struggle of the Uru-eu-wau-wau people against the deforestation of the Brazilian Amazon, 'The Territory' made its debut at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. Despite the director being foreign, the documentary has Uru-eu-wau-wau coproduction, a differential in films that bring this theme. Very well filmed by Pritiz and the indigenous people who helped with the production, the feature is intriguing and brings a relevant debate about the problems faced in the Amazon. The negative points are due to the slow pace and soundtrack, but still, it is a good documentary."
