Why watch the movie The Other Tom?
"Featured in festivals such as Toronto and Venice, and nominated for five Ariel Awards (including Best Picture), this co-directed film by Rodrigo Plá (A Monster With a Thousand Heads) and Laura Santullo is about a single mother whose custody of her son, Tom, is threatened when she refuses to follow his medical treatment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Rather than falling into sentimentality and easy didacticism, The Other Tom stands out for giving complexity to its two protagonists, united by a situation that has no easy answers for either."
