Why watch this film?
Two scheming demon brothers, Wendell and Wild, enlist the aid of 13-year-old Kat Elliot to summon them to the Land of the Living.
"Master of stop motion animation, Henry Selick ("The Nightmare Before Christmas", "Coraline") is back in collaboration with Jordan Peele ("Get Out"), with a spirit as deliriously macabre as the rest of his previous works. In "Wendell & Wild", we find a guilt-ridden yet attitude-filled teen, Kat (Lyric Ross), who is recruited by the two titular demon brothers (voices of Peele and Keegan-Michael Key) to summon them to the world of evil, though she has something dangerous to ask in return. The peculiar animation is simply phenomenal, serving a story that, although super-thematic, deals delicately and originally with themes of guilt, loss, and grief. Unmissable for fans of Selick, stop motion animation, or horror in general."
