In 1950s London, a humorless civil servant decides to take time off work to experience life after receiving a grim diagnosis.
"A direct remake of the classic 'Ikiru' by Akira Kurosawa, we can say that 'Viver' is even an improvement compared to the original, visually more dynamic and narratively more economical. In this version, what we already know happens: a man (Bill Nighy in place of Takashi Shimura) leads a monotonous and boring life, merely focused on his bureaucratic work. However, when he receives the news that he suffers from terminal cancer, he has a crisis that leads him to question why he has been living, and to seek a purpose for his last days.
