Jaime, a 33 years old man, has been in a mental institution for almost half of his life. Through a series of conversations, Jaime shares his world view, his fears, his feats and a secret.

"The experience of schizophrenia is, on one hand, debilitating for those who suffer from it. On the other hand, it has been difficult to represent it onscreen in a way that not only accurately conveys what it's like to experience it, but also does so with dignity. In the short film Jaime, director Francisco Javier RodrÃguez achieves it. Audio interviews with the eponymous protagonist -who has lived half of his life in a psychiatric institution- are interspersed with images which, like in his mind, blur the line between reality and fiction. It is an excellent cinematic experiment for those who want to learn more about the experience of schizophrenia as a mental illness."
