"In Kandahar, actor Gerard Butler reunites with director Ric Roman Waugh, with whom he has already had successful collaborations in the action genre such as The Day of the End of the World and Under Fire Agent. However, the result was not as effective as on other occasions, and even seems dated. The plot follows a CIA agent (Butler) disguised in the Middle East, whose life is put at risk when his identity is revealed, so he must travel to an extraction point with the help of a local translator. The movie abuses outdated Arab stereotypes and is the typical story of an all-American hero. It may belong to another decade, but if you like this style of movies like Rambo, it might be worth giving it a chance."
