On his last day of deployment in Afghanistan, Marine and Recon Specialist John Colter is devastated by a life-changing incident while in combat. Physically wounded and mentally in shock, Colter is sent to a VA facility in Montana. When traditional treatment and therapy fail to engage Colter, he is introduced to a Vietnam veteran, Ike, who teaches him to deal with his trauma through fly fishing.
