Why watch the movie The Last Rifleman?
"The Last Rifleman is a heartfelt and sincere drama that tells the same inspiring story as The Great Escaper, starring Michael Caine, from 2024. The film follows Artie Crawford (Pierce Brosnan), a World War II veteran living in a retirement home in Northern Ireland, who has just lost his wife. On the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, Artie secretly escapes from his retirement home and embarks on a challenging but inspiring journey to France to pay his final respects to his best friend and find the courage to face the ghosts of his past. Pierce Brosnan's performance is particularly notable, with makeup aging him convincingly and delivering an emotionally moving portrayal."
