Why watch this film?
A trio of post-apocalyptic survivors venture down below the safety of elevation 8000 ft. in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, bent on finding a way to eliminate subterranean beasts that have all but wiped out mankind.
"Elevation is a typical dystopia film, which looks like a mix of A Quiet Place and some Gerard Butler disaster movie. Here, we follow the story of a father (Anthony Mackie) who is in a very complicated situation: his son has a respiratory problem and needs oxygen cylinders to survive. As a result, the patriarch needs to team up with colleagues to move down the line. What line? That's the point: creatures appeared out of nowhere around the world and started killing people. However, they do not exceed 2,400 meters in altitude, meaning that the survivors live above that. With a simple narrative and without many original ideas, the film shows this mission without increasing the ideas too much or getting complicated. For those who don't expect anything, it could be a good surprise."
