One hint, 6 chances, and a new movie to guess every day
During the 1972 Munich Olympics, a hostage crisis pushes legendary TV executive Roone Arledge (Peter Sarsgaard) to thrust an untested sports producer, Geoff Mason (John Magaro), into the spotlight of breaking news coverage. With lives hanging in the balance and the world watching, this pivotal moment, based on a true story, reshaped journalism forever.

"September 5 is perhaps one of the most controversial films at the 2025 Oscars, alongside Emília Pérez -- this one, however, only nominated in the best original screenplay category. After all, on the one hand, the feature film directed by Tim Fehlbaum (Refuge) is accurate in portraying the behind-the-scenes of an American journalism team that needs to urgently cover the kidnapping of Israeli athletes during the Berlin Olympics. At this point, it works wonderfully, especially with good performances from Peter Sarsgaard and John Magaro. However, what counts against the film is its off-key message about the eternal conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. Not only does it oversimplify things, it also exaggerates the villainization of Arabs, without ever understanding exactly the complicated roots of this issue."
